At InnovAge, we are committed to expanding the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) to serve more seniors across the country. In keeping with this focus, I am pleased to share that InnovAge continues to grow with our recent acquisition of four new centers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The four centers joining the InnovAge family are:
In Pennsylvania, PACE goes by a different name: Living Independently for Elders (LIFE)
. The LIFE program InnovAge acquired has been in place for over nine years, starting in 2009 with the Roosevelt LIFE center (the first LIFE center ever built in Northeast Philadelphia). Most recently, our new St. Bart’s LIFE center opened in May 2018, joining Allegheny, Germantown, and Roosevelt to serve more than 650 participants combined.
In coming years, we aim to serve even more eligible seniors with plans to open two more centers in the Philadelphia area. There is a significant and growing need for the LIFE program among seniors in Pennsylvania, with a projected 66 percent increase by 2040 in adults who are 65 years or older – many of whom also face chronic health conditions that require ongoing medical attention.*
This acquisition is a significant milestone for InnovAge. On behalf of the entire team, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new community of participants in Pennsylvania. I’m also grateful to all InnovAge employees across the country – including our new colleagues in Pennsylvania – for their dedication to serving and supporting seniors every day. Together, we look forward to continuing to provide the highest quality of care possible for everyone in the Pennsylvania LIFE program.
