Regional Executive Director

I have the privilege of meeting seniors every day who share their unique and challenging life stories, including how PACE has improved their lives with services that meet their medical and emotional needs. It is very gratifying to be a part of this integrated healthcare system that has a positive impact in the lives of our participants.

Cheryl Rice joined InnovAge’s regional leadership team in 2019 with more than 23 years of senior leadership experience in hospital administration and management. Prior to joining InnovAge, she served as director of rehabilitation services for Dignity Health Mercy Medical Center in Merced, Calif., where she led program development growth planning, community outreach, and claims processing. Cheryl also has experience working in acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient care facilities, home care, and rehabilitation facilities with specialized dementia and stroke units.Cheryl is licensed in nursing home administration and Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) administration. She holds a Master of Business Administration with honors from the University of Phoenix, as well as a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Quinnipiac College in Hamden, Conn.

Regional Medical Officer – Central and Western Regions

My father always said, "It takes courage to age." I enjoy working with the interdisciplinary team at InnovAge, and courageous seniors, to keep our worlds large, and our time meaningful.

Dr. Strange earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the St. Louis University School of Medicine, and is a diplomate with the American Board of Family Practice. A Colorado native, she has spent her career in private practice and residency faculty positions, teaching the next generation of family physicians in Pueblo. In 2015, the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors gave her the Bronze Program Director Award. Under her leadership, Southern Colorado Family Medicine in 2012 and 2015 received NCQA Level 3 recognition for providing patient-centered medical care. Dr. Strange’s husband is also a family practitioner and they have three children. She enjoys volunteering with her church, riding bicycles and hiking.

Executive Director

Taking care of people and listening to their stories gives me immense satisfaction and I am happiest when I can help someone along their healthcare path. I feel privileged to be a part of the PACE team at InnovAge and help our seniors live the life they deserve.

Jeanette Williams joined the InnovAge team in 2019. She has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership. Her experience encompasses running long-term acute care, acute rehab hospitals, home healthcare, and skilled nursing. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from University of Phoenix.

Center Director

Working with seniors is both an honor and a privilege. The opportunity to have such a positive impact on our participants’ overall quality of life, while building relationships that facilitate learning from our population’s wealth of life knowledge, is a true blessing!

Steve Jones was named center director of the Inland Empire PACE center in 2019. He has been with InnovAge since 2014, first as a rehabilitation aide and then the clinical exercise services manager at the Denver PACE center. While at the Denver center, Steve launched the clinical exercise services (CES) program, which has since been expanded to other InnovAge centers. He has a degree in exercise physiology and is currently pursuing a master of business administration degree in healthcare administration from Colorado Christian University.

Medical Director

Good medicine is about communication. I talk with my patients and listen to understand their perspective. I learn a lot from them.

Dr. Siraj is a physician with Long Term Care Medical Group, which provides California-licensed physicians and nurse practitioners to serve participants of InnovAge California PACE (ICAP). Dr. Siraj is board certified in family medicine and geriatric medicine. She earned her doctor of medicine from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Science in India. Dr. Siraj completed her residency in family practice and her geriatric fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science. Prior to joining InnovAge, Dr. Siraj was a Chief Resident Hospice Medical director. She also served as a mentor to medical students. Dr. Siraj is married and has two children. She enjoys swimming, reading and traveling.

Nurse Practitioner

I want to provide PACE participants with the best care. The same care I want to have when I am their age.

Crystal Zhang earned her nursing degrees at Azusa Pacific University. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. While she was in college, she worked as a volunteer at the Veterans Administration (VA) Loma Linda Healthcare System in the emergency department and intensive care unit.

Crystal is a home tutor and has been teaching Mandarin for more than 10 years. She also speaks Chinese. Crystal lives in Redlands, Ca. and has a teenage son. She enjoys hiking, jogging, and spending time with family.

InnovAge PACE is very important for seniors. I enjoy providing them with complete dental care they may not have had access to in the past.

Dr. Huigens earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, College of Dentistry. He graduated with honors. He also earned a Physician Associate Degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and a bachelor degree in biology from the University of LaVerne in CA. Upon graduation, we was in private dental practice in La Verne, CA. Dr. Huigens has a special interests in dental implants and dental appliances to treat sleep apnea. He also volunteered as a dentist at a low-income children’s dental clinic. Dr. Huigens has always been interested in healthcare and nearly every job he’s held has been in the medical profession. As a college student, he worked as a paramedic and as a physician associate at an orthopedic surgery practice. In his spare time, Dr. Huigens enjoys art, music, do-it-yourself projects, working on his car and spending time with his son.

What I most enjoy about working with aging adults is hearing their remarkable stories.

A love of dentistry is in Dr. Hanrahan’s family genes. He is a second generation dentist, following in the footsteps of his father. He feels fortunate to have thrived in this rewarding career.

Dr. Hanrahan attended University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco, California, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Upon graduation, he practiced general dentistry side-by-side with his father in a small family dental office in Garden Grove, California, where he has been practicing for nearly 40 years before coming to InnovAge. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association.

Dr. Hanrahan is also a caregiver for his 88-year old mother. He enjoys watching baseball and listening to blues music —he has over 400 albums in his collection.
