The Balancing Act, a national television show airing on Lifetime Network, will feature a nine-minute segment about InnovAge to help raise awareness of the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly, or PACE, as a model of care to help older adults stay independent.
The segment was primarily filmed at InnovAge’s
Denver center but also includes footage of other InnovAge PACE and LIFE centers around the country. Watch a
short preview or the full segment
here.
During the filming, the show’s correspondent met with several participants, caregivers, and InnovAge leaders to learn more about the
coordinated care included in PACE. The segment airs on the Lifetime channel Monday, Jan. 20, at 7:30 a.m. ET and PT; 6:30 a.m. CT; and 5:30 a.m. MT
“The show is a perfect fit for InnovAge,” says
Robin Doerr, InnovAge’s chief sales and marketing officer. “According to industry studies, most family caregivers are women. The Balancing Act lets us reach them, and others, around the country about PACE.”
While PACE has grown to serve more than 50,000 seniors nationally, it’s estimated that there are more than two million dual-eligible seniors who could qualify and benefit from the program. Combined with the number of U.S. military veterans and those who can pay out-of-pocket for PACE, the need is staggering.
“As our population continues to age, there is a tremendous opportunity – and a need – to reach these frail seniors,” says Robin. “InnovAge’s model allows us to operate PACE centers across geographies, scaling the program to serve hundreds of seniors in each of our centers – all while maintaining the highest quality of care for those we serve.”
