All of us at InnovAge recognize the value of diversity in our workplace and society. Our organization embraces culture, respect, inclusiveness, and kindness. Our differences make us stronger. They make us better as a team.
We also honor and respect the differences among those we serve. InnovAge doesn’t just treat illnesses. We treat people. Every older adult we serve is unique in their needs, preferences, values, and cultural experiences. We value each of them as individuals.
We appreciate the gifts of diversity in our company every day. We also take part in national observances of diversity and inclusion.
This month, we celebrate Pride Month and the contributions of our LGBTQ+ colleagues. Pride Month has been made even more meaningful with this week’s Supreme Court decision that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects gay and transgender workers from workplace discrimination.
Today, we also recognize Juneteenth, an annual commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States. This year’s Juneteenth brings even more meaning as we work together to fight the systemic and systematic racism that diminishes all of us as human beings. Racism in any form is unacceptable. Black lives do matter.
All of us at InnovAge stand with our colleagues, participants, and communities in pursuit of equal rights and opportunities. We are proud to be your ally and eager to do our part to continue the current momentum toward progress, equality, and true freedom.
