InnovAge Leadership

President and CEO

I was a caregiver for my mom for many years. Like many adult children, I watched a very independent woman lose her control in many ways. My role then was to help her put those pieces back in place, and to help her live out her life on her terms. Now, at InnovAge, I get to do that for thousands of seniors around the country. I couldn’t be more proud of the work we are doing every single day.

Maureen Hewitt is president and chief executive officer of InnovAge and has served in this role since 2006. Maureen is responsible for growth, transformation, and the strategic direction of InnovAge. Previously, Hewitt led for-profit and nonprofit healthcare organizations for 25 years, including post acute, acute care, long-term care, LTACS, and senior housing. Maureen has led and is working for publicly traded, for-profit and nonprofit healthcare. With an emphasis in healthcare administration and policy, she received her master’s degree from Wayne State University.

I am fortunate in that my parents were able to age in their home and manage their own healthcare, but this isn’t the norm. Caring for an elder is difficult, complex and time-consuming. The value that InnovAge provides is immediately understandable, and I am proud to be part of the effort to help seniors age in place.

Kathleen Bennett has spent her entire career in the field of information technology – half of which has been focused exclusively on healthcare services and insurance programs. Prior to joining InnovAge, Kathleen served as chief information officer for Boston Medical Center’s HealthNet Plan and, before that, as vice president of information technology for Geisinger Health System. In these roles, she provided leadership in strategy and software development, as well as support and governance for their information systems, data, and technology infrastructure. Kathleen’s involvement in the healthcare industry began at Coventry Health Care and she went on to gain experience in government sponsored health plans as vice president of information technology at Wellcare, a publicly traded healthcare provider of Medicare and Medicaid health plans. Kathleen holds a master’s degree in computer science from Boston University.
