Dr. Michael O’Brien is A physician executive with diverse experience leading clinical and cross-functional teams, AND with over a decade of direct clinical and leadership experience in complex care and technology-enabled home visit care models.
Before joining InnovAge in 2024, he was the Associate Medical Director for Bayada Home Health Care. He was also the Senior Medical Director of Clinical Innovation for Clover Health. Previous to that role, he was the Medical Officer at both CareMore Health and Aspire Health. O’Brien is also the Founding Partner of Clinician Creative, a healthcare innovation studio in the Philadelphia area.
O’Brien earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Albany, and his Doctor of Medicine from Downstate Health Sciences University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics from the University of Buffalo. O’Brien then went become an RWJF Clinical Scholar and complete his fellowship in Health Services Research and Leadership from the Yale School of Medicine.
